Documentary filmed in Japan

A new documentary I’ve made alongside Jay Goldmark and Jiro Kumakura for Goldmark Films is now available to watch online.

Koichiro Isezaki: Bizen Born is a captivating new Goldmark documentary that delves into the life and work of Koichiro Isezaki, the son of renowned potter and National Living Treasure, Jun Isezaki. Filmed on location in the ancient pottery town of Bizen, Japan, we follow Isezaki as he meticulously crafts pieces for his inaugural solo exhibition here at Goldmark. Following his footsteps of his father and his grandfather before him, viewers are offered a rare glimpse into traditional techniques and artistic passion that have been passed down through generations.

As Isezaki reflects on his upbringing and the profound influence of his family's pottery lineage, he offers poignant insights into his philosophy towards the craft. Rooted in a deep reverence for tradition yet marked by his own innovative spirit, Isezaki shares his belief in the transformative power of clay and the profound connection between the artist, the material, and the natural world. MLR Weekly Shortlisted for Sport Podcast Awards 2025

The American Rugby TV Show I edit has been shortlisted in the 2025 Sports Podcast of the Year Awards in the Best Rugby Podcast Category. What makes this such a great achievement is that MLR Weekly is the only American Rugby podcast, focusing on Major League Rugby that has been shortlisted and is going up against more well known rugby podcasts that focus on the more popular leagues in Britain and Ireland.

FILMMAKER OF THE YEAR Award Winner JonnyLewisFilms.com

I’m not sure how this has happened, but I’ve somehow won the FILMMAKER OF THE YEAR SUPREME CHAMPION AWARD in the Pro Moviemaker International Awards for a number of films I made with Jay Goldmark and Goldmark Films. Last year’s winners included a music video for the Pigeon Detectives (apparently they are still going), a documentary for The Daily Telegraph and promotional film for Ferrari, so I was shocked to be told that I’ve won the top prize from this years awards, which included 16 categories!

Working with Samsung & Pro Moviemaker Magazine

My hands are famous! They feature in the latest edition of Pro Moviemaker Magazine. I was asked to test out the new Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield for a magazine article feature on the product. I decided to test it out editing the longest-running rugby TV show in the US, MLR Weekly which covers the country's professional rugby union club competition Major League Rugby.

The TV show I edit, MLR Weekly, the longest running rugby show on American TV, is now back for Major League Rugby 2024. The show is broadcast on a number of American TV networks, but viewers outside America can also watch on the streaming platform The Rugby Network, available on iOS, Android, Roku, Samsung TV and Apple TV as well as therugbynetwork.com, the Rugby Wrap Up YouTube channel and RugbyWrapUp.com
